By accessing our website or purchasing our products, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

Construction Companion USA provides downloadable construction contract templates designed for contractors and construction businesses operating across the United States.

Our goal is simple: to provide practical, easy-to-understand contract documents informed by real construction industry experience and legal knowledge.

1. Our Products

Construction Companion USA sells digital construction contract templates for residential and commercial projects across various trades and U.S. states.

Our products are pre-prepared documents designed to help contractors establish clear written agreements with their customers and commercial clients.

All products are supplied digitally. No physical documents are shipped.

Our templates are not individually prepared legal advice or a substitute for advice from an attorney licensed in your state.

2. Purchasing and Payment

All prices are displayed in U.S. dollars (USD), unless otherwise stated.

Payment must be completed before access to purchased documents is provided.

By placing an order, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old.

• The information supplied during checkout is accurate.

• You are authorised to use the payment method provided.

• You have selected the appropriate contract and U.S. state for your intended use.

Any applicable taxes or additional charges will be displayed during checkout.

3. Digital Downloads and Delivery

Our products are delivered electronically following successful payment.

Download access is normally provided through your order confirmation, email or our digital delivery service.

Customers are responsible for supplying a valid email address and retaining copies of purchased documents.

4. Refunds and Cancellations

All products sold by Construction Companion USA are digital downloads.

Once a purchased document has been accessed, opened, viewed or downloaded, the purchase is considered fulfilled and is non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

We do not provide change-of-mind refunds after digital access has been used.

Cancellation requests made before digital access has been used may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

5. Contract Licensing and Permitted Use

Purchasing a Construction Companion USA contract template grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that document for your own construction business.

Your purchase allows you to:

Your purchase does not permit you to:

6. No Subscriptions and Free Updates

One purchase. No subscriptions. No recurring charges.

Construction Companion USA does not require a subscription to use purchased contract templates.

Where advertised, each qualifying purchase includes access to updates made available for that purchased product for 18 months from the original purchase date.

After the 18-month period:

• You may continue using your purchased contract under the terms of your licence.

• No automatic subscription or renewal charge will apply.

• Further updates are not guaranteed to be free.

We may revise our documents to reflect improvements, industry developments or changes in legal requirements.

An included update does not guarantee that a document complies with every applicable law at the time of use.

7. State-Specific Contracts and Legal Compliance

Construction laws and contractual requirements differ across the United States.

Our products may be prepared for particular states, trades and project types.

Customers are responsible for choosing the appropriate document and ensuring its suitability for their circumstances.

Before using a contract, you should check all relevant federal, state and local requirements, including where applicable:

• Consumer cancellation rights and required notices.

• Payment terms and restrictions.

• Mechanic's lien provisions and notices.

• Building regulations, permits and disclosures.

• Insurance and warranty requirements.

8. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Purchasing or using our products does not establish an attorney-client relationship between you and Construction Companion USA, its contributors or any legal professionals involved in developing the materials.

We do not provide personalised legal representation, assess individual disputes or guarantee the legal enforceability of any contract.

Customer support is available for questions about products, orders and downloads, but cannot provide individual legal advice.

9. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Our documents are designed to help contractors set out project expectations, responsibilities, payment arrangements and other important terms.

However, using a written contract does not guarantee:

• Payment from a customer or client.

• Prevention or resolution of disputes.

• Enforceability of every provision.

• Protection against every financial or commercial loss.

The effectiveness of a contract depends on its wording, completion, execution, applicable law and the circumstances of the project.

Customers remain responsible for reviewing and correctly using their purchased documents.

10. Website Content and Intellectual Property

All original website content, branding, document designs, written materials and contract templates are owned by or licensed to Construction Companion USA.

You may not reproduce, sell, publish or commercially distribute our content without written permission, except as expressly allowed under your purchased product licence.

Unauthorised copying or resale may result in the termination of your licence and appropriate legal action.

11. Website Availability and Changes

We aim to keep our website, checkout and digital delivery services available and operating correctly.

However, temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical problems, payment processing issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We may update website content, product descriptions, prices and available products without prior notice.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the price of an order already accepted.
